Whether it is a fresh installation, taking over a system that has grown over the years or analysing an acute problem: you get one contact person who does the work personally and explains what was changed and why.
What is included
- Fresh installation and baseline hardening (SSH keys, firewall, Fail2ban, automatic security updates, time synchronisation)
- Taking over and cleaning up existing servers including documentation of the current state
- Web stacks with nginx, Apache, PHP-FPM, MariaDB or PostgreSQL, Redis and Let's Encrypt
- Plesk servers: setup, migration between servers, performance tuning of PHP-FPM and database
- Backup concepts with Restic, Borg or Proxmox Backup Server including regular restore tests
- Monitoring and alerting with Zabbix, Checkmk or Uptime Kuma, log analysis and capacity planning
- Troubleshooting of performance problems, memory and I/O bottlenecks, kernel and network issues
- Migrations between distributions, data centres or cloud providers with minimal downtime
Typical assignments
- An online shop becomes slow: analysis of PHP-FPM, database and caching, then response times cut in half.
- A server without maintenance for years: inventory, updates, hardening and backup without taking the applications down.
- Moving from an old CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 10 with a clean handover of all services.
- Ongoing care: monthly maintenance, monitoring and a direct line when something happens.

Questions about this service
Which Linux distributions do you support?
The focus is on the RHEL family (AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux) plus Debian and Ubuntu. I also look after BSD systems and Windows Server when they are part of your environment.
How do you access our servers?
Via SSH with a dedicated key, preferably through a VPN or with IP allowlisting. All access is documented and removed after the project on request.
Do you also take over ongoing maintenance?
Yes, with fixed maintenance appointments, for example monthly or quarterly, each as a flat-rate maintenance run or based on effort. No base fee, no subscription, no minimum term.
Remote for companies across Austria, combined with on-site appointments in Vienna on request.
