VoIP phone system setup in Vienna: 3CX, SIP trunk, softphone

Old phone systems are expensive to maintain and no longer fit home office and mobile work. A VoIP phone system runs on a small server, in the cloud or directly in Microsoft Teams, costs a fraction and brings features that used to be reserved for large companies: queues, time-based routing, call recording, softphones on the notebook and on the phone.

I plan the switch, take care of number porting and the SIP trunk, set up phones and apps and integrate the system cleanly into the network so calls run stably and in good quality.

What is included

  • Selection of the right solution: 3CX, FreePBX, cloud phone system or Microsoft Teams telephony
  • SIP trunk connection with a provider of your choice, number porting from ISDN or the previous provider
  • IP phones (Yealink, Snom, Fanvil), DECT systems for mobile staff, door intercoms
  • Softphones on the PC and smartphone apps so employees in the home office are reachable under the company number
  • Queues, voice menu, time-based routing, announcements, voicemail to email, fax to email
  • Network preparation: dedicated VLAN for telephony, QoS, PoE switch, firewall rules
  • Integration with CRM or Microsoft Teams, call reports
  • Documentation, staff briefing and ongoing support on request

Typical assignments

  • A company with twelve extensions replaces its ISDN system with 3CX and a SIP trunk and saves monthly base fees.
  • A medical practice gets time-based routing, announcements and a queue so no call is lost anymore.
  • A home office team makes calls via softphones under the company number, including forwarding to mobile phones.
  • Number porting and switchover are planned so that the business is never without telephony for even an hour.

Questions about this service

Can we keep our phone numbers?

Yes. Numbers are ported to the new provider, in Austria this usually takes a few business days. The switchover is scheduled so that no call is lost.

Do we need a better internet connection for this?

A call needs about 100 kbit/s. More important than bandwidth are stability and prioritisation (QoS), which I set up in the network. If needed I check your line beforehand.

What is better: own system or cloud?

An own 3CX system pays off from about five extensions and for special requirements, cloud systems are set up faster for small teams. I calculate both options transparently.

Service area: Vienna and the surrounding area (Klosterneuburg, Korneuburg, Schwechat, Mödling, Perchtoldsdorf, Purkersdorf).
